Kalipay Sa Atong Panag-uban

"The joy of being together" is what "Kalipay Sa Atong Panag-uban" means.

Magsayaw Kita©

Literally means "Let's Dance," an invitation to dance. As the song "Magsayaw Kita" goes, one will realize that this "dance" is a kind that is so natural among us as human beings. When our hearts are filled with so much joy it is almost automatic for our feet to perform some graceful movements. This, at times, happens when the person you deeply love is around you. So, let's dance...

Damgo©

"Damgo" (dream), in this song, describes a deep longing for someone...a yearning to be with the one you love.

Atong Sinugdanan©

"Atong Sinugdanan" i.e. "Our beginning" asserts that our existence originates from love "gugma" particularly God's love for us. Love is the reason why we're all here, in this world. Each of us, thus, has the responsibility to share the gift of love that we received from God with others.

Tara-ta-tang-tang©

"Tara-ta-tang-tang" has no meaning. It's just a sound one may create when he/she hums a tune. I put it here because it rhymes with the word "tang-tang" (to remove or detach) which is also found in the song. This is filled with a wishful thought that he (the lover) and the "object" of his love will not be "detached" from each other. He also expresses his hopes that the love they have found and shared together will not go away from them.

Pinalangga©

Feeling overwhelmed by my "success" in writing "Way Laing Gipangandoy," I made another "ballad." This time both the music and lyrics are mine. "Pinalangga" is a Visayan word for "Sweetheart." However, I think "pinalangga" carries more meaning than the latter. It is very endearing that if you use this to call the person you love, it will make him/her feel that he/she is really loved.
